Meet the Masterminds
We, Kelsey and Bethany, are the masterminds behind Prairie & Pine Homeschool Curriculum. We are both certificated teachers, endorsed in English Language Arts for grades 6-12th, and collectively have taught for well over a decade. Recently, we decided to leave the classroom to pursue our passion for creating an accessible curriculum that empowers parents and can be used by any family. We are excited to share our expertise and knowledge with you and to help you create a rich learning experience for your children.
Bethany
As a former public school teacher, homeschool mom, and homeschool graduate, I bring a unique combination of experiences. For six years, I taught English Language Arts in public schools. While I never imagined leaving the classroom, my husband and I adopted an 8-year-old boy in 2022, and our parenthood journey turned our world upside down in the best possible way. As a result, I unexpectedly left the classroom to homeschool our son and it has been an incredibly fulfilling decision. My goal is to help you craft an education that is tailored to your child's unique needs and your family's lifestyle. I am so excited to be a part of this community!
Kelsey
Hey everyone, I’m Kelsey. I taught high school English Language Arts for 8 years. I have my Master’s in Teaching and am National Board Certified (qualifying me to teach in almost every state in the country). I’ve always loved teaching and swore I would never leave, but then I got married and became a mom, which has changed me and my life in the best kind of way. I believe in cultivating a home and there is nobody better fit to raise my son, so here we are. I spend my days being a wife, mom, and curriculum designer and I’m so excited to be part of this community.
